SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the book Glass by Ellen Hopkins the main character Kristina has a big problem, she is addicted to drugs. Although she has already come out of the dark path here she goes again going through that path again. All she ever craves are the drugs and even though she knows that they are no good for her she just keeps coming back for more.
Kristina just came back from the dark path. From the dark path she came out but this time with a baby. She stopped the drugs for a while for the baby. Although it was hard for her to stop she tried very hard until she stopped. But soon enough she couldn't stop the cravings. She very well knows all the harm that could be done if she does drugs again, anything can happen but she seems to not care. She seems to care more about the drugs than her own child. Many consequences come from drugs and she knows how upset her family will be to know that she is doing drugs yet again.
Kristina has prevailed before and i believe she can prevail again. She has to stop ruining her life she is only 18 with a child. She needs to steer her life back onto the right direction and stop doing drugs. They are hurting her and her life. I believe that everyone can steer their life back into direction if they are determined. All you need is a little determination to get you on your feet again.
I agree with you. I have read "Crank" and bit of "Glass", but based on what I read, your right. In the first book she was able to escape the drug addiction after the guy she got pregnant with ditched her . Now that she found another guy, she starts again with the drugs. Somehow everytime that she meets a guy she starts with drugs again. Isn't that wierd?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's an emotional thing.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like an interesting book. I've seen many people write about the books Crank and Glass, but I think it would be interesting to read it.

I believe that you are correct, Talyah. If you know how to escape the "dark path", then you can come through again.
